Description
Harappans used fired-clay or faience discs as spindle whorls and spools. Attached to sticks, they helped spin cotton and wool into thread. Multiple sticks placed between paired discs formed cylindrical drum that held and smoothly unwound yarn for weaving. Bronze needles are also found in the excavations.
