Description
The Harappan domesticated bulls, sheep, goats, buffaloes, dogs, and cats. Evidence of domestication fowl, camels, and pigs are also found. Animals played a vital role in agriculture, food production, and trade. The ‘Zebu’ bull was revered for its economic and ritual significance. Animals held different symbolic meanings across ancient civilizations.
