Description
Across a thousand years, the different Persian empires were admired for their refined opulence. Great wealth derived from trade, taxation and tribute sustained the refined opulence of the Persian court, expressed in luxury silver vessels like this bowl. This silver and gold dish would probably have been used at royal banquets.
