Description

Crowned with a laurel, holding a bird for sacrifice and a box of incense, the young worshipper (5) or priest approaches the god. In stone form, he will forever be present in the temple complex. Every detail would have been brightly coloured. Thousands of such statues were dedicated in Cypriot sanctuaries: this one was found in the Sanctuary of Apollo and Reshef.
